ITALY: Order of Merit for Labor, Master's Star.
The Order was instituded in 1923 by King Vittorio
Emmanuele to reward outstanding achievements
in the fields of agriculture, industry & commerce,
crafts, lending and insurance.
The Order was revived by law in 1952 and the
President of the Italian Republic is the Head of the
Order.
In its box of issue by Johnson, Milan.
A very rare decoration as only 25 awards are
nominated each year.
This example appears to be of the early post WW2
period.
