the formation of the Regiment, in 1813.

and Kaiser Wilhelm II.
On the reverse: The Regiment's Coat of
Arms

The Regiment took part in the battles of
Ligny and Waterloo during the Napoleonic
Wars.
It participated in the 1st and 2nd Schleswig
Holstein Wars (1849 and 1864), the German
Civil (1866) and the Franco-Prussian War o
f 1870.
During the Great War it participated in the
battles of Verdun, Somme, Sedan, Chemin
des Dames, Maas-Argonnen and Amiens.
The Regiment was disbanded in 1919.
