Afghanistan: Silver Medal for the Suppression 
of the Rebellion in Kunar Province, 1945 (AH 
1324).
Obverse: The tughra of King Mohammed Zahir 
Shah imposed on the Coat of Arms of 
Afghanistan. Inscribed: "Khadamat" (Service).
Reverse: Dated AH 1324.
The medal was established in 1945, by King 
Mohammed Zahir Shah to be awarded to 
officers and men of the Afghan National Army 
who were involved in the suppression of the 
Pashtun rebellion in the Province of Kunar 
near the border with Pakistan, during the 
Afghan tribal revolts of 1944–1947. 
A very rare medal.
