USA: Medal for Humane Actions or Berlin 
Airlift Medal.
Marked G27 on the brooch (Graco Industries, 
Tomball, Texas).
Given that Graco Industries were certified by 
the US Army Institute of Heraldry to 
manufacture medals and service ribbons in 
1981, this is a post 19181 made medal.
The medal was instituted by Act of Congress 
in 1949 and was awarded for minimum 120 
days of service between 26 Jun. 1948 and 30 
Sep. 1949,
within the geographical boundary of Berlin, 
with duties related to the support of the 
Berlin Airlift. 
Designed by Thomas H. Jones, the medal is 
based on the design of the Berlin Airlift 
Device and presents a 4 engine C-54 
Skymaster airplane over the coat of arms of Berlin.
