Hallmarked  with the 3 crowns of Sweden and 
“S" (silver quality marks), dated "U8 (1946), 
maker marked "S&Co" (for Sporrong & Co.).
Issued by King Gustav V.
On the obverse: The portrait of King Gustav V.
On the reverse: The initials SLK (Sveriges Lotta 
Kårer - Swedish Lotta Corps) circumscribed by 
the full name of the Corps (Sveriges Lottakårer 
Riksförbundet)
The Swedish Women's Voluntary Defense 
Service  or "Lotta Corps" was formed in 1924 as 
an auxiliary service of the Swedish Home Guard 
within the chain of command of the Swedish 
Armed Forces.
The medal is rare.
