On the obverse: The inscriptions "Franco,
18 July 1936" and "Mutilated in the War for
the Country".
On the reverse: The Spanish National Coat
of Arms (which is also the Coat of Arms of
the Regiment of General Franco) and the
inscription "UNA, GRANDE, LIBRE" (United,
Great, Free)
The medal was instituted in 1938 and was
designed by Manuel Delgado Brackembury.
A very fine, unmarked example.
