Kingdom of Romania: Commemorative Medal for 
the 2nd Balkan War - 1913.
Marked "S" on the rim.
Circumscribed on the reverse: "From the 
Carpathians across the Danube to the Balkans".
Following the 2nd Balkan War Romania gained 
Southern Dobruja. 
The province had been returned to Bulgaria in 
1940 (due to its overwhelming Bulgar and 
Turkish population).
The medal was established in 1913 and it is also 
know as the "Danube Crossing Medal" and as the 
"Nation's Uprising Medal"
