Japan Boxer Rebellion Medal 1900 1901 for the Expedition in China

JAPAN: Commemorative Medal for the 
Engagement against the 1900-1901 "Boxer 
Rebellion" in China. 
During the Rebellion, the Japanese expedition 
force, together with the respective forces of 
other 8 Allied Nations intervened, advanced 
and lifted the siege of the Foreign Legations 
in Peking (Beijing).
The Medal was instituted in 1901 and was 
awarded to the members of the Imperial 
Japanese Army (20.300 soldiers of the 5th 
Division) and of the Japanese Imperial Navy 
(540 marines and 18 warships).
