ITALY: Medal of Honor for the WW2 Volunteer

Morbiducci (1889 - 1963).
The medal was instituted in 1944. It was awarded
to Volunteers who crossed enemy lines from
German-occupied territory, placed themselves at
the disposal of the Italian Government and
continued fighting against the German Forces
and the Italian Fascists during the period after the
capitulation of Italy (8 Sep. 1943) and before the
end of the War on 8 May 1945.
Initial, undated version of the medal.
The medal is usually found in its posterior type,
which was instituted in 1948 and it is dated 1940-
1945.
