of issue, marked with the emblem of the Order
on the lid, by Perez in Naples.
On the central medallion: The Constantinian
Labarum formed by the Greek letters "XP" (for
Χριστός (Christ)).
On the arms: The Greek letters "A" and "Ω"
(Book of Revelation: "I am the A and the Ω" (i.e.
I am the Beginning and the End)
Also, the Latin letters "IHSV" for "In Hoc Signo
Vinces - Latinized form of the Greek phrase "Εν
Tούτο Nίκα" (By This Sign Conquer).

The Sacred Military Constantinian Order of St
George was founded in the 1st half of the 16th
Century. Although it is not an Order of Chivalry
under patronage of the Holy See, membership
is restricted to Roman Catholics only.
Since 1816 the Constantinian Order of Saint
George could be conferred either by the King
of the Two Sicilies or by the Duke of Parma.
