Greece: Cross of the Bavarian Auxiliary Corps 
(BAC) – King Otto (Otto Friedrich Ludwig von 
Wittelsbach, Prince of Bavaria).
The Cross was instituted in 1833 and was issued 
to the men of the BAC who escorted the 16-year-
old Bavarian Prince to Greece.
The BAC (3500 men) was consisted of 4 Infantry 
Battalions, 2 Light Cavalry Squadrons, 1 Artillery 
Battery (Company) and supportive elements 
(medics, administration and support troops).
Example in blackened bronze on ribbon for the 
volunteers.
The Cross is very rare
