Germany Lower Saxony Waldbrand Disaster Commemorative Medal 1975

West Germany - State of Lower Saxony: 
Commemorative Medal for the Waldbrand 
Forest Fire Disaster in August 1975.
The medal was instituted on Nov. 03 1975, 
by the then Minister of Interior of the State of 
Lower Saxony Roetger Gross under the 
Minister-President Alfred Kubel to be awarded 
to the firemen, first responders, volunteers 
and victims of the Waldbrand forest fires. 
The medal is rare as only 25-30.000 medals 
were awarded in total, until 1978 when the last 
award was recorded.
