Germany - Bavaria - Weimar Republic: Fire Service 
Decoration for 25 years of Service. 
The initial award (buckle form) was instituted by 
King Ludwig II in 1884. It was awarded to members 
of the Volunteer Fire Service for 25 years of loyal 
and zealous service. 
This form of the Decoration was instituted in 1920 
and was produced until 1922 in blackened iron 
and from 1922 to 1928 in black colored zinc.  
This is the last type of the medal, in silver nickel, 
that was awarded from 1928 until 1936 when it 
was discontinued.
