Marked by the Paris Mint - hallmark "1" for silver purity.
The medal was instituted in 1969 (in 3 classes: bronze, silver, gilt)
and is awarded to those involved in physical education either for long
service or to mark distinguished achievements like victories in the
Olympic Games, national and/or international championships etc.
In case of long service awards the officer's medal is awarded for 15
years of contribution.
This is an early example of the medal.
