Specification
FRANCE: Paper weight - inkwell in the form of a 
Cavalry Soldier - cavalry rider with Adrian helmet.
The 2 helmets on the left and rigt of the rider hide 
the ink reservoirs.
The dedication sign relates the inkwell to the 
Coetquidan Barracks (station of the Saint-Cyr 
Officer's Academy, which had been founded by 
Napoleon Bonaparte in 1802).
Probably a gift to an officer. Such gifts were 
typical and representative of the interwar period. 
The inkwell is numbered #509 and marked "Made 
in France" - a logo already in use during the 
interwar period.
Dimensions: 20 cm x 10 cm x 11 cm
