FRANCE: Silver Commemorative medal of the
Morocco Campaign (1908) with "Oudjda" clasp
on the ribbon.
Hallmarked "1" for silver purity and signed by
George Lemaire.
The medal was instituted in 1909 and was
awarded to military and civilian personnel who
participated in the "pacification" campaign of
Morocco (1907 - 1909).
The "Oudjda" clasp was awarded to the troops
who participated in the 1907 Campaign, led by
Generals Lyautey and Bugeaud, to recapture
Oujda.
The clasp is very rare.
